Additionally, HDR Composite and Dynamic Range Compensation modes enable a broader dynamic range to better retain highlight and shadow detail, a self-timer mode can be used for creative selfies, and interval shooting is possible for making time-lapse sequences.
Improved image quality
Equipped with a larger (1/ 2.3-inch) image sensor, enjoy high-quality spherical images at approximately 14 megapixels, the best quality of all Theta models. The Theta SC features a newly designed lens, optimized for the new sensor, providing sharper images than previous models.
High movie quality
Improved hardware enables 30fps of Full HD original data. Maximum recording time is 5 minutes.
Dedicated application
The Theta applications allow for easy shooting and sharing of your spherical images and videos. From the applications you can capture still images and videos, employ full command and control over various shooting modes, and share your spherical images and videos directly to social media. Additional Theta applications will allow you to edit your spherical images to the way you want them to be.
Improved ui with more functions
Added to the Theta SC is an LED status notification on the body of the device, which allows you to switch between still image and movie mode more easily than previous models. Wi-Fi speed has also been upgraded to 8Mbps, as well as built-in memory to store up to 8GB.
Wireless Live View, transfer and Sharing to virtually everywhere
Built-in Wi-Fi allows you to connect to a mobile device or tablet in order to gain a live view image, adjust camera settings, and wirelessly transfer stills and video for instant sharing online. A dedicated Theta+ app is available for editing spherical stills, and a dedicated Theta+V app is available for editing spherical videos.
You can share your own original street view with the whole world by posting spherical images taken with RICOH THETA to Google MapsTM. You can also post spherical images to Google+TM, allowing you to scroll around your spherical images* and share them easily with friends.
